About Us
The Story
How Miss Drag UK was born...
The concept of Miss Drag UK came from our three founders, Sofia Mayers, Sonja Wilson and Blake Allum. The idea came as a way to fundraise for Sofia and Sonja’s journey to the finals of Miss Diamond UK.
The team wanted to support the LGBTQ+ community and provide an opportunity to take part in a unique pageant that would be open to all genders.
Let’s just say the Drag community loved the idea and it took off! For Miss Drag UK’s first event we received support from all types of media platforms, ITV also came to film the show and sure enough it was a sell out!
Oh, and the Prime Minister was a big fan too.

Our Mission
The Future of Miss Drag UK...
Due to the success and response to the first pageant the team decided to make the show an annual event. Every year we will strive to make it bigger, better and brighter than the year before!
Queens from across the entire UK will take the stage and compete for the crown and title of “Miss Drag UK”.
But our mission will never change. We will continue to promote positivity, support the LGBTQ+ Community, raise money for charity and to help make drag more accepted and mainstream in society.
Charities
Who We Support
Each year we choose to donate the charity fundraising that our finalists do to two charities chosen by our founders.
For our first Miss Drag UK Pageant (2019) we chose to donate the proceedings to The Dorset Children’s Foundation and Sands.
Our Charities for 2020
This year Miss Drag UK will be donating the money we make to two charities.
The first charity is Abigail’s Footstep’s who provide support to families that have lost babies. The second charity is Mind, a charity that supports people with their mental health, our donation will be going to support LGBTQ+ individuals that need the support Mind provide.
